D-4 Visa information

The D-4 Visa is designed for international students who wish to study Korean language or other non-degree programs in Korea. It is issued by language institutes and educational institutions that meet the criteria set by the Ministry of Justice.

Explore various language schools, their programs, tuition fees, and scholarships to find the right fit for your studies. Once you have selected a school, follow their official application procedures. Your journey in Korea involves securing your D-4 visa and preparing for your stay.

Begin your preparations early. Gathering documents, translations, and completing applications can take time. A crucial document is the Bank Statement, typically required for the D-4 visa application, showing an amount of around 9,000 USD for 6 months. Ensure you can provide proof of these funds, whether in your account or through your parents.

Additionally, proficiency in Korean may be necessary for your future studies. If you plan to learn the language first, expect to spend around 18 months to reach an adequate level, usually TOPIK level 3 or 4 for academic programs. Always verify requirements with your chosen institution.
